DIY: Facial Treatments and giveaway!

Hi ladies! This was my not-so-good day, because of school and some of not-my-responsibility-task that was given to me. First, I need to wake up as early as 4:30 am! I just have less than 2hrs sleep after I posted my Random Beauty tips and its killing me to wake up that early! Honestly, my regular waking time is 1pm-5pm, I can also sleep as long as 18 hrs! hehehe! that is my special skills and they called me SNORLAX for that (its a pokemon character who loves to sleep). So, after my class in Manila, I need to run to my second subject in Quezon City for my Psychology class, thanks for my guidance counselor, he allowed us to have some nap on his office ^^. After my class in Psychology, my professor in one of my major subject asked me to take place of her because she can't make it because blah..blah...blah! OMFG! I need to stay for another 3hrs! So exhausted, my eyes are really tired and want to have some sleep. This is actually the first time to teach English for freshmen and I killed them by spelling time! So sad, that even I gave almost bonus words, there are still who get lower than 10. I already took a nap for 3hrs and since I miss you all, I'm gonna post about DIY facial treatments!

I hope everybody experienced facial treatments at some beauty salon and pay for almost 1,500 or almost $30, am I right? I hate Math! Where we can achieved the same result in our own kitchen!

Instruction:

::.Skin Sauna

A good deep cleansing treat is to give your face a sauna.This is especially good for congested skin.

You need to fill a bowl with near boiling water and add four drops of each of the essential oils recommended for your skin type.
NORMAL : Mandarin and Lavender.
OILY : Lemon and Eucalyptus.
DRY : Rose and Chamomile.

Place a towel over your head and hold it over the bowl from a distance of about 30cm for a period of around two minutes. This opens the pores and prepares it for a face mask. You should not use a face sauna if you have sensitive skin, are pregnant or suffer from asthma.

::. Exfoliates

You can use your favorite exfoliation product
ex. apricot scrub You can also use brown sugar to exfoliates dead skin cell and deep seated dirt.

::. Facial Mask

This will help to solve some issues like dry and oily skin.

Face mask for dry skin

1. Take 1 tbsp olive oil and mix with 2 tbsp of fresh cream, leave it on the face for 10 minutes and then wash your face with warm water.

2. Mix 1 tbsp of honey with 15 drops of orange juice and 1 tbsp of fuller’s earth and add 1 tbsp of rose water. Mix well and apply on the face, wash off after 10 miuntes.

Face mask for oily skin

1. Mix a tbsp of honey with 1 egg white and apply thickly on the face and neck. Leave for 10 minutes and wash off.

2. Mix 2 tbsp of papaya pulp with 10 drops of lemon juice and leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse well.

3. Take fresh juice of any of the fruits (orange, sweet lime, watermelon or papaya) and apply on the face as a mask. This is very relaxing, it cleanses the skin, closes pores and stimulates blood circulation.

Random Facial Mask:

Carrot Facial Mask

Ingredients Needed:
2-3 large carrots
4 1/2 tablespoons honey

Directions:
Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.

Glowing Facial Mask

You will love your radiant skin after using this recipe...

All you need is:
1 tbsp fuller's earth
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mashed papaya

Mix and put on face for 20 minutes then rinse off.

Honey Facial Mask

Perhaps the best facial mask is honey.

Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores.
Use once a week.

Orange Yogurt Mask

Ingredients Needed:
* 1 tsp plain yogurt (I chose Balkan Style)
* the juice of 1/4 of an orange

Stir to mix and then dip fingers into mixture and smooth onto face. The sensation is both cool and relaxing. Leave on for a five minutes and then rinse. If you are feeling sluggish, this is the perfect mask for you.

* Yogurt will cleanse and nourish your skin
* The orange is full of Vitamin C and AHA's

::.Tightening your pores

Wash your face with a cold water and dub some ice on your face, this will help to close your pores.

You can also use toner.

:: Apply moisturizer

Any moisturizer will do as long as recommended for your skin type.

Tadah! You have your facial at the comfort of your house!

Hope you like it girls!

Random Beauty Tips

This are some of beauty tips that I also maintain in myself for a long time. Some of my DIY blogs are also my routines that I already shared to you my lovely readers. So this time, simple but effective beauty tips that you can try.

Eyes:

::. To remove puffiness from the eyelids, massage a drop of very fresh Castor oil on to them.

::.To cool your eyes, make eye pads using thick slices of cucumber. Another option is to use cotton pads soaked in cold milk. Lie down and place them on your closed eyes and relax for a while.

::. To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the residue and apply an eye cream.

Face:

::. Need to Exfoliates? You can use Brown Sugar!

::. Big Pores? Dab some ice cubes on your face it will helps to tighten your pores.

::. Wrinkles? All you do is cut a grape in half and gently crush it on your face and neck. Make sure that you get the "crows-feet" and the lines around your mouth. Leave it on for twenty minutes or so and rinse with tepid water and pat dry.

Lips:

::. To prevent your lips from chapping, use hot water on your lips and then apply a mixture of Vaseline and honey. Apply this mixture about three times a week.

::. To prevent your lips from drying you can use a ground mixture or rose petals and milk butter.

Hair:

::. If you have no time to shampoo your hair before going out, then brush 1 tablespoon of talcum powder or corn flour through your hair. Try this out first when you are not in hurry to make sure that it works the way you want.

::. To prevent hair loss you should have a biotin rich drink. Blend bananas with honey, yogurt and low fat milk. Drink this for a few weeks.

::. While blow drying and setting your hair, blow-dry at hot on the roots of the hair. Roll your hair inwards or outwards at the ends. To improve the setting make sure the ends are evenly rolled in or rolled out. Heat the hair for a second and then let it cool. This process of setting the hair will last longer and make your hair look beautiful.

::.To condition your hair, after shampooing your hair take some conditioner on your palm and rub it with both hands. Apply from the hair shaft moving downwards. Do not apply on your scalp. Rinse your hair after 5 minutes.

::.To add extra shine and glow to your hair add 2 tablespoons of malt vinegar. Use it as a last rinse and towel dry your hair.

Feet:

::. Crack heels? Put some lotion on your feet as moisturizer and cover with socks over night. It will help to restore moisture.

Hands:

::. To delay age spots on your hand, use a piece of lemon and rub all over your hand, before washing. This will delay onset of age-spots.

::. Put hand lotion for smooth and soft feeling.

Nails:

To whiten your nails, try these:

::. Use a common whitening toothpaste. It's just as easy as achieving a pearly white smile and will take away any stains and shine up your nails.

::. Soak your nails in water with lemon juice or lemon slices. The lemon acts as an astringent and will strip away stains. Once your hands are dry, you'll only need to put on a couple of coats of a clear topcoat.

Skin:

::.Sea salt removes dry, flaky, dead skin.

Wet body,(or any area)apply a couple of tablespoons of sea salt, then GENTLY massage with a wet washcloth or fingers.

After one or two minutes,wash it by cold
You can do this maximum once per week.

::. Don't forget to put lotion with sunscreen!

Perfumes/Body Splash:

::. For long lasting scent, put some lotion with the same scent of your perfume or cologne or you can use unscented one, then layer it with your scent.

::. Spritz your scent where there's a heart beat (e.g wrist and neck) for the smell stay even for overnight!

::. It is not advisable to put your scent on your wrist and rub it with another wrist, it will make the perfume evaporates quickly.

and that's it ladies!
Hope you enjoy some of my beauty tips!
